Difficult to treat—consider camouflage make-up (e.g. self-tanning preparations). Treatment includes PUVA and oral psoralens (e.g. methoxsalen, trioxsalen). A trial of prolonged topical corticosteroids is claimed to be effective (e.g. hydrocortisone 1% for 6 mths followed by methylprednisolone aceponate 0.1% for 6 mths).
