Insect Stings

  • Wash site with large quantities of cool water.

  • Apply vinegar (liberal amount) or aluminium sulphate 20% solution (Stingose) for about 30 secs.

  • Apply ice for several seconds.

  • Use soothing anti-itch cream or 3–5% lignocaine ointment if very painful (e.g. Dermocaine gel).
